Terms of use
Effective Oct. 16, 2026
These terms cover coveragedecider.com ("Coverage Decider"), run by OppKo LLC. Using the site means you accept them.
What Coverage Decider is
A free calculator that estimates which health coverage you may qualify for in 2027 and what plans may cost. It isn't HealthCare.gov, a government site, an insurer, an insurance agent or broker, or an enrollment service. We're not affiliated with or endorsed by HealthCare.gov, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, any state agency or any insurer. Health Insurance Marketplace® is a registered service mark of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Estimates, not decisions or advice
Results are estimates based on your answers, published rules and CMS plan data. HealthCare.gov or your state, your employer and the IRS make the actual decisions, and your tax credit is settled on your tax return. Nothing on this site is insurance, tax, legal or financial advice. Check important decisions with HealthCare.gov or a licensed professional.
Accuracy
Laws, court rulings, plan prices and data change and can contain errors. We show the dates of our data and update them when sources change, but we don't guarantee that results are accurate, complete or current.
Using the site
Use it to estimate your own household's coverage, or to help someone else with theirs. Don't scrape it, overload it, get around its protections, or use it to break the law.
Links
We link to HealthCare.gov, insurers and other sites we don't control. Their terms and privacy policies apply there.
Support payments
Paying for Coverage Decider is optional, and you choose the amount. It isn't tax-deductible. Stripe processes payments. For a refund, email us within 30 days.
Emails
If you opt in, we email your results, enrollment deadlines and changes to 2027 tax credits and, if you checked that box, when Pro is available. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy and fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version with a new effective date.
